Artist Statement

I use art as an escape. Whether I am bending and manipulating materials or applying my hands to a canvas, I create statements through my work. My inspirations come from the macabre, ideas of sustainability, and a focus on introspection. Utilizing elements of surrealism and found objects, I craft narratives that aim to catch the eye, showcase craftsmanship, and, most importantly, spark conversation. I am fascinated by materials—how they behave, move, resist, and come together. I strive to incorporate this relationship into both my 2D and 3D works.
