The Grave

The Grave is a reference to the Don Mclean song of the same name. The song discussing the tragic tale of soldiers in the Vietnam War, life after, and the lack of government help. In this installation, I gathered testimony of those effected by Hurricane Helene, how the government helped or the lack thereof. I tied there stories into a physical space, where you could see their faces, see the faces of those who abandoned them, and make the connection. Scattered on the floor were 2500 strips of paper i had cut out, equating to 19 billion dollars.
